Why is it with every member of the general public, they feel the need to not only just passingly glance at ambulances, but to slow to a stupidly slow pace and 'rubber neck' at everything they see??
Yesterday, I was accompanying a 4x4 ambulance back to the garage and every single car, slowed and stared at us...we didn't even have blues or anything on in particular.
If you're reading this and you do exactly what i am referring to then please...STOP IT!!!
You are seriously endangering the lives of not only yourself and other people in your vehicle but also every other vehicle, every other pedestrian and also the members of the emergency services who are already putting themselves at a higher risk by being on blues...
Thank You

Keep 'em alive!
After the BHF finally put an advert on TV advertising compressions only CPR I stumbled over this video again from my years teaching First Aid to young scouts...
Personally think Vinnie Jones should sing this...see what happens!!

2012
So here it is...the year the world is supposed to end...PAH
As my late uncle would say...'I'd like to say last year was the best i've ever had...i'd like to say it!'
That basically sums it up;
As my late uncle would say...'I'd like to say last year was the best i've ever had...i'd like to say it!'
That basically sums it up;
- Lost 2 uncles,
- Got pretty shocking AS results
- Realised i'll probably never become a doctor unless i find a hell of a lot money
- Got rejected from a uni for not having a driving license
- Failed a cadet qual but luckily passed the re-qual
- Had to let go of a team i put my heart and soul into running
On the bright side however;
- Became a Master Cadet :D
- Trip of a lifetime to South Africa and Lesotho :D
- CAMJAM
- 2 weekends with the RAF Regiment
- My beautiful girlfriend (27/05/11) <3
- 3 Interviews at university :D
So what have i to look forward to this year?
- Potentially a job in town
- Summer job on a farm in Devon
- Holiday with my girl to yorkshire and london
- Driving test
- Hopefully get my first car
- A-level results
- Uni?
- Army?
So i suppose looking at it this could be the year to end my life...if i don't get into uni, all my plans for life go down the swanny...i suppose all i can do is live life because lets face it, you only get one chance at it!
So to close i'm going to post a status from my fbook account that basically sums up what this year has taught me;
"if there is one thing the past few weeks has made me realise it is this...cherish everyone you hold dear in your life, take every chance to show them how much you care, how much you love them. Make sure every goodbye for how ever short a period of time it is for is as good as, if not better than the last because you never know...it could be the last time you ever get to hug and say good bye to them..."- 21 December 2011 at 22:58
